The Chappy Ferry was expected to resume service by 10 a.m. Thursday.

Updated, March 8, 6:50am:

This morning's high tide expected to be more dangerous than Thursday's high tide in terms of flooding and erosion, according to the National Weather Service.

Hyline Cruises cancelled the 3:10 pm and 7:00 pm from Hyannis and the 4:35 pm and 8:10 pm from Nantucket are cancelled due to the high winds.

Hyline Cruises cancelled the 12:00 pm from Hyannis and the 1:25 pm from Nantucket will not be going due to the high winds.

Steamship Authority has canceled the 10:45 and 12 p.m. ferries.

  • The Steamship Authority posts that it "has suspended all ferry service between Nantucket and Hyannis for Friday. Based on the latest forecast from the National Weather Service, the Steamship Authority anticipates that service between Nantucket and Hyannis may not resume until possibly Saturday.
  • Service between Martha’s Vineyard and Woods Hole will be on a trip by trip basis. The Steamship Authority anticipates the 10:45am Martha's Vineyard to Woods Hole trip to run as scheduled."
