Small brush fire starts at Campbell Airport in Grayslake Tuesday, Jan. 22, following candlelight vigil for Joey Frase.

A Barnstable police officer alerted fire officials of a fire at 13 Hiramar Rd. early this morning at around 4, according to the Cape Cod Times.

No one was in the duplex at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported.

Crews from Hyannis, Barnstable, Yarmouth and Centerville-Osterville-Marstons Mills fire departments knocked down the blaze within the hour.

Firefighters were called to another reported fire at 4:30 a.m., this time a car fire at 251 Falmouth Rd.

The vehicle fire was put out in just fifteen minutes.

While it remains unclear as to whether the fires are connected, fire officials say both fires are suspicious and are investigating the incidents along with the state Fire Marshal’s Office and the Barnstable Police Department.
