The Sea Street Café in Hyannis will donate 50 percent of the day’s sales this Saturday to the One Fund for the victims of the Boston Marathon bombings.

Owner and Chef of Sea Street Café, Michael Hamwey was born and raised in Boston and felt compelled to help in any way he could after the tragic events last month in Boston.

Before moving to Cape Cod Hamwey worked as the food director at the John Hancock Tower and would cheer on Boston Marathon runners from Boylston St. each year.

That’s why Hamwey decided to donate 50 percent of Sea Street Café’s restaurants sales Saturday May 4 to the One Fund.

“No matter where I live I will always be a Boston native, and would like to do what I can for the people affected by this tragedy,” Hamwey said.
