The seal, Major Margaret “Hotlips” Houlihan was taken in by the NMLC November 12. Hotlips was dehydrated, emaciated and suffering from severely infected facial wounds, according to a press release.
Over nearly two months of treatment Hotlips overcame her ailments thanks to the dedicated staff at the NMLC. Hotlips is now ready to be released back to the wild.
The public is welcome to attend the ceremony Sunday January 13, 2013 at 10 a.m. at Scussett Beach in Sagamore.
